Prior to establishing Janson Associates, Kim was the Chief Talent Management Officer at the H. J Heinz Company. While there, she was responsible for leadership development, organizational effectiveness, learning, diversity, change management, performance management, succession, and executive coaching. Kim joined Heinz in June 2008, and through her five years at Heinz, the company was recognized as the industry leader for top talent with more than 30 quarters of consecutive growth.
Kim came to Heinz from Bank of America, where she served as the Senior Vice President of Leadership Development for the Global Wealth Business. Prior to that, she was at Hasbro, Inc. as the Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Learning, and Diversity, responsible for creating and building out those functions. Kim began her corporate career at Bank of Boston, followed by BancBoston Mortgage Corporation, after teaching high school in Rhode Island.
Kim holds bachelor’s degrees in English and History from the University of Rhode Island. She achieved a MA in Teaching from Rhode Island College, and a MS in Organizational Development from Lesley University. Kim received her Ph.D. in Business Administration, specializing in Executive Leadership, from Northcentral University. Kim’s dissertation and ongoing research is on Determining Leadership Potential. Kim was inducted into the National Society for Leadership, Sigma Alpha Pi. Kim is also a Board of Trustee Member for Bay View Academy, an all-girls college-prep institution.
Kim and her husband Mike of 28 years run a very successful champion level horse farm. Zanger Hill Stables (www.zangerhillstables.com) breeds, trains, competes and sells top level Hunter/Jumper, Equitation and, Grand Prix show horses in the US, Florida, and South America. Their children, Michael (25) and Hannah (22), share their parents' passion for horses and train at an Olympic level as top riders in the nation with the wins to show for it, including being name Boston University Male Athlete of the Year and Oklahoma State University Women Athlete of the Year/NCAA Nominee for Women of the Year.
